Ro is an artist struggling with finding her next piece, she retreats to the country to try and work on her pieces away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. The house she chooses is Haunted however and in this she finds a muse for her art, but it's not entirely what you think. Ro slowly starts to fall in love with the being that is haunting the house, but this love starts to turn sour when Ro hasn't left the house in months. Ordering anything she might need and always living in the dark to please the creature residing there. This relationship quickly turns toxic and Ro looks for a way to escape.
An odd but interesting read. The vibe of the story does drastically shift about half way through but that wasn't unexpected necessarily. It isn't extremely diverse in any way but considering there are really only two characters it wasn't unsurprising. A trigger warning for Domestic abuse, if it can be considered that if one of the members of the relationship isn't human. The ending was a pinch confusing because it seems to open up some kind of sequel even if it's not any of the same characters. I'm not sure if I would necessarily suggest it because it does go by so fast, I read it in under an hour and it leaves you wanted more. Corona's art work was perfectly done and conveyed the story well, I loved how the color pallete of the story got darker as time went on. If you want a dark creepy read to waste a little time it is beautifully illustrated this is a perfect read.
