Tommy spends most of her time dresssing up as various characters to help others as part of The Wild Wynchesters. Their latest endevour leads to a military cypher that was stolen from part of Philippa's reading circle. A circle that Tommy attends dressed as an old woman each week. Philippa is a blustocking and teetering on spinsterhood. Her parents want her to find a suitable match with a title that will help to boost them socially and politically. But Philippa doesn't believe in love and would much rather stay reading in her library than marry out of duty. The two end up working together with Tommy disguising herself as the dashing Baron Vanderbean to help trick suitors into wanting Philippa. However the two grow closer and the love Philippa doesn't believe in starts to bloom for Tommy.

This was an adorable Queer romance. I have never read anything that took place in the Regency Era, although I was a fan of watching the Bridgerton series. I am so glad I gave this a chance because I really did enjoy it. It had a good pace, and although there were some dry part it moved along well enough to still be enjoyable. I will admit however I hate the cover that was chosen, it presents the book as a f/f romance when it was a f/nb romance with the one chracter choosing to wear pants over a dress whenever presenting as themself.
