The God of Death is out of a job, a boy has been born that will create the cure to death. The God of Death is fired and cast down to live as a mortal. She decides to stop immortality from being created, and sets out to kill the baby who will one day make her job obsolete. But as time wears on Laila Starr the God of Death made mortal lives life for the first time.
I loved this. It was beautifully illustrated and the story was everything I could have wanted. The use of color helps to tell the story and really immerses you in the world. Not much can be said about it without causes subtle spoilers, but it is so powerful and thought provoking it is truly something everyone should read. My only complaint is that it's over.
