Amy works a job at Orsk that although she hates, she is reluctant to get fired like she fears. She hates her new store manager Basil and when he calls her in to speak to her with another employee Ruth Ann they both assume the worst. However, what Basil asks of them isn't what they expect. Weird things have started happening around the store. This are broken, destoryed or soiled and Basil wants to find out what is going on. The three stay the night and do sweeps of the floor hoping to catch some kids breaking in, or someone attacking the store. However what they do find it much much worse. What follows in a classic Haunted House tale that takes place in the most unlikely of places.
Although interesting and scary it was not as good as the other things I have read from Hendrix. It was still scary and entertaining but fell a little short, and the plot was thrown together very quickly. It felt like any other haunted house tale and the setting which should have been what made it unique didn't really add anything to it. It was just fine, but nothing good or bad enough for me to have a passionate opinion. The audiobook had a great author, so if you are looking for a quick scary read for spooky season this is worth a try.
