Esme and Cassandra have been working as sitters ever since they found out about their supernatural abilities. After the events surrounding Cassandra's father the Synod, the governing body of the sitters decide to host a summit. An event that occurs every so often to train sitters and collectively gain knowledge. This last minute meeting of sitters has Esme and Cassandra scrambling with the help of their counsel to try and pull together what should be such an amazing meeting of the minds. But their is so much weird going on, Cassandra is acting strange, Esme's Dad seems to be having money trouble and the summit itself doesn't seem to very well planned or put together.

This one was even more of a mess than the first. I can’t get a grasp on when this is supposed to take place? it feels modern but there are so many pop culture references and some are super dated but others aren’t. Plus one character is obsessed with beanie babies, which is a 00s thing and was confusing. I would have not bothered with the third but there are characters I care about that I need to see what happened, to only one character in particular. This series isn’t terrible but it’s just ok, slightly frustrating because there are so many plot holes and unanswered question.

I have the same complaints as the first book, it seems poorly put together and needed to be edited jut a little bit. I saw one reviewer say that it seemed like a middle aged woman trying to understand teenagers and I 100% agree. This person didn't write a YA novel but wrote down what they thought could be a YA novel which read more like a middle grade novel but also was confusing.
