Charlotte Grote has her whole life ahead of her. She will be going to college for Criminal Psychology and she has a track record of successful sleuthing behind her. She finds out she has been nominated for Teen Detective of the Year (16-18) and sets off to the awards ceremony. But her eventual win is bittersweet as she's arrested for the attempted murder of one of her sleuthing Idols.

Without any hard evidence Charlotte is put on a probation of sorts. She is put under house arrest and made to work as a consultant for the local police department. As she does her hard time she helps to solve cases while living in a house with other criminals. She grows closer with the local police who start to think she might not actually be a murderer like they thought.

I just have to start out saying that I absolutely love Giant Days and when I found out a book was being written in the same universe I was so excited. It was a cute little graphic novel with an ambiguous ending which left it open to potentially more books in the future. The only downside is the lack of solutions throughout the book. Half the crimes are unsolved or just little clues are placed so the reader knows the answer but the characters don't. Also the solution for the murder case isn't even a solution, it just opens up more questions that are left unanswered. Overall a good read and super sweet.
