But when Elle is out to breakfast with her already difficult mother she bumps into Darcy's brother who not only set Elle up with Darcy but is currently Elle's business partner as she works on his app OTP. He tells her how happy he is that her and Darcy hit it off. Elle is baffled because she never anticipated seeing Darcy again.

When she confronts Darcy, she admits she lied to her brother to get him to leave her alone. The two agree to a fake relationship to help them both. Darcy with her brother who wants Darcy to fall in love again and Elle with her family who can't accept her for who she is. But with any fake dating romance the two really start to fall for each other. But Darcy's past keeps her from fully admitting her feelings for Elle, and Elle doesn't see where they stand to decide.

The love story that then develops is actually sweet and believable. I am not typically a fan of "insta-love" but I think this book doesn't rely too heavily on it and it's more instant attraction turned love. The girls both feel real and believable. Their families are frustrating and messy and nothing in their lives is picture perfect. I personally really appreciate when characters feel like friends I have met instead of fictional characters. There are a few romance novel clichés but I think they are used in a way that doesn't feel cookie cutter. The actual romance is a little spicy and doesn't rely on fade to black moments. It is all right there on the page, but not in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable if someone read over your shoulder.

I highly recommend this title and I am so excited to read the next in the series. A huge thank you from Avon and Harper Voyager for the galley copy. It's next on my list!
