After Charlie has ditched and fired Vita from being her Defender she picks up Circe as her new bodyguard. Vita is now trying to track down Charlie because she wants some answers about their relationship as well as other unanswered questions. With time ticking on Charlie's campaign her and Circe make their way across America to try and find the people who boosted Charlies campaign in the first place and expose Reapr for the government conspiracy it really is.
It was a good final book but felt rushed and had a dissapointing ending. After two volumes of Charlie and Vita growing closer together this volume pushed them further apart. It did show more of the almost distopian America that the serie has created which I did enjoy. It would be nice to see more of this world that was created even if it has other characters staring in another crazy adventure.
