Bree has left the XXX-plorers and the team is trying to press on without her. After trying out a extremely hot, but absolutely terrible new recruit Chris tries to do what she can to get Bree back. But this puts them in the crosshairs of a terrible person, Skulzoch Prohl. A being who is notorious for being a slave trader, assassins, and criminal enforcer. After the team ends up on a rescue mission, they accidentally release aliens onto earth.
Eh, I was so in love with this series. But the change in artist honestly ruined it for me. Every character is now skinnier and more perfect with weird giant eyes. My favorite part about the characters was they looked like real people, with imperfect breasts, a little chub and realistic features. They now look like shitty anime girls and it makes it all seem like a push to make the comic more appealing to the male gaze, there was even a character who was naked for an entire issue just because. Even for a comic about people making porn it was never vulgar or unnecessary. It's not a change I really liked. The plot is still just as strong though and I really liked the journey. The first issue of this volume felt like a throw away, but the rest was good and had the same wit and humor as the previous volumes. I know the artist left on their own accord, but I still think the new artist should have tried to be closer to the previous art.
