After the events of books one Meg works with the military to try and harness the power she experienced with the military. Trying to become a weapon strong enough to take down the Old James House once and for all. Ami unfortunately is now on the run from the house she unfortunately taught to walk. Trying to escape it's clutched and live a life. But the house isn't ready to let her go, and with Meg coming for it Ami's future hangs in the balance.
This was just as good as the first volume. However it did take on a weird giant robot battle edge I wasn't expecting from what I consider a ghost story. I am interested to see where this series goes next, but it seems that the next volume may be the last. Definitely worth reading the second of the volume.
